Our final February events include the livestream for a local horror writer's podcast, our next book club meetup, a free HWA Seattle reading, and a heads up for next month's story prompt!
✨WEDNESDAY FEBRUARY 25, 2026
HWA Seattle event organizer M. Leigh is "on the hotseat" this month at the Beneath the Rain Shadow podcast, when she reveals her story written using the following prompts: salmon (quirk), nuclear shenanigans (trope), and Washington state Amtrak lines (location).
You can listen or watch live to hear about M. Leigh's new story, the challenges she faced while writing it, and what the rest of the podcast team thought of it, from 5:30 - 630pm Wednesday February 25.
Or log into the Beneath the Rain Shadow Substack on February 4 to watch or listen to the recorded show. Listen to the end to learn who's next on the hot seat and what their crazy prompts will be!
✨SATURDAY FEBRUARY 28, 2026: 2 events
SEATTLE HORROR BOOK CLUB Join member Perla X. Caballero in a guided discussion of S.P. Miskowski's I Wish I Was Like You at the Pine Box in Capitol Hill from 4 to 530pm. This marks a change in venues away from the SPL. Attend and get free bookmarks and stickers!

QUARTERLY READING EVENT
