New addition to the May HWA members calendar!

G.G. Silverman teaches us how to "Break Out of the Box"

In this free HWA member workshop, member G.G. Silverman will get hands on with "Breaking Out of the Box: Unusual Forms in Short Fiction." She'll show us how to break out of writing ruts and restrictive storytelling rules by working with unusual forms. We’ll read a couple of examples to get inspired, and then we’ll dive into some writing. Bring your favorite writing tools, and get ready to play! Zoom link will come via email a few days before the event.

Join LUCIANO MARANO in conversation with Gordon B. White

Eagle Harbor Books hosts what promises to be a fun dialog between two HWA Seattle members discussing local author Luciano Marano's dark new collection of short stories, Gargoyle Safari.

JOIN G.G. SILVERMAN as she reads from The Blood Year Daughter

Haunted Burrow Books hosts a silent reading party featuring local author and HWA Seattle member G. G. Silverman, who will also read from her debut short story collection, The Blood Year Daughter. Macabre costumes encouraged!

Also, plan to spend some time and drop some money on some great deals, as member Roxanne Guiney's  wonderful pop-up bookstore, which has generously served the horror community since it began last year, is having some early moving sales to help reduce inventory. The shop will close in early summer due to its building's slate for demolition.

Here's a great chance to get some great books at some even greater prices and enjoy this sweet little dark corner of Capitol Hill while you still can.

Bring your good news and ideas, it's virtual roundtable time with the fam! We'll talk about our wins and experiences and upcoming events. We'll knock around some ideas for how to make this the best chapter the HWA ever had.
