Looking for a couple of ways to jumpstart your horror writing life in 2026? We have two fun, low-commitment monthly online gatherings you can participate in as needed for those who want to generate new work, to submit their work more actively, or both! You can find both meetups in the Discord Voice Channels as shown on the right. Not in the Discord yet? You can join here: https://discord.gg/PU88fPhf

Thursday January 1, 10-1130am
The Citadel Monthly Write-In💻
Join the Citadel_write-in live room in the Discord [Join here: https://discord.gg/PU88fPhf] for a little Pomodoro action hosted by member Tamara Kaye Sellman. We'll use the month's prompt from the Citadel oracle deck by Fez Inkwright to inspire brand-new work or enliven works in progress. Or, you can just join us and write using your own prompts; this is a low-commitment, super-chill time to devote to getting words on the page. No pressure! Come and go as you please; the room will be open from 10am to 1130am and we'll follow this schedule:
10a-1010a Hello and chatter
1010a-1035 Pomodoro write-in session 1
1035-1050 bio and chatter break
1050-1115 Pomodoro write-in session 2
1115-1130 chatter and farewell
Yep, our first write-in is on January 1, but why not start 2026 off right with some new words???

Thursday January 8, 6-730pm
