HWA members are invited to member Roxanne Guiney's bookshop, Haunted Burrow, at 7pm this Friday (Halloween) for a costume party with tarot reader, prizes, and other Halloween fun!
Roxanne suggests dressing up as a favorite character in a horror novel of your choosing for the party.
The shindig promises to be a great opportunity to have fun while mixing and mingling with dedicated horror readers (your future readers, maybe?) and other local horror-leaning creatives such as writers and artists.

The bookshop is specifically geared toward spooky season fans, from horror in all its subgenre glory, plus everything from mystery to paranormal, nonfiction to gothic, speculative to poetry, dark fantasy to horromance. If you haven't been, it's such a beautiful shop. And huge... something for every reader!

Enjoy the local art on the black walls and marvel at the many local writers on her shelves!

You might pick up some great gifts while you're there as well; I recommend the "blind date with a horror book" package, which is a hand-wrapped mystery book with accoutrements to share with anyone who loves curling up with scary books during the upcoming "hibernation" season.
Yes, the last 6pm sundown was just yesterday... prepare for SAD!
As an added bonus, if you're following the "One Thousand Sasquatch Heads" public art exhibit throughout the Puget Sound area, you'll get to spy a Henry right across the street. What regional horror fan wouldn't want to be part of that community project?
