March 2024: Member Interview with Aigner Loren Wilson

Interviewer: Aigner Loren Wilson (she/her) is a 2023 double Ignyte Finalist for best novelette and best critic. She is a senior fiction editor for Strange Horizons, and her writing has appeared in F&SF, Lightspeed Magazine, Monstrous Futures, and more. Horror Author: Kevin M. Glover is perhaps best known as the producer of the cult classic indie features Dinosaur Valley GirlsVenus Flytrap, Scarlett Countess, Mummy’s Kiss, and Love Bites. He is also quite proud of his stint as a rubber-suited B-movie monster in the 90’s schlocker, Syngenor. An optioned, multi-award-winning screenwriter and playwright, Kevin most recently realized a lifelong passion as the creator/publisher of the Scary Tales Publishing line of horror comic books and magazines. Their current titles include Fractured Scary Tales, Gym Ratz, Monster Smash-Ups, Supered-Up Monster Kids, Lady Frankenstein, and Fabulous Frightmares.

Aigner Loren Wilson: What modes do you write or create in? Fiction, poetry, nonfiction, film, etc. 

Kevin M. Glover: Fiction, film/video, stage, graphic novels/comics


ALW: What are some of your passions outside of horror?  

KMG: I write and publish both horror and alien related comics and books.


ALW: Who are some of your favorite horror creators working right now?  

KMG: Anne Rice.


ALW: Who are your biggest influences inside or outside of the genre? 

KMG: Universal & Hammer Horror films, Famous Monsters of Filmland, Tomb of Dracula comic book series and B&W horror mags


ALW: If a reader was unfamiliar with your work, what’s the story you’d suggest they start with?  KMG: Stageplay "The People vs. Frankenstein"


ALW: Do you have any upcoming releases or projects you’re working on that you’d like to talk about? 

KMG: Just finished another horror stage play and have three graphic novels coming out, GYM RATZ, REMEMBER Z ALAMO! and LADY FRANKENSTEIN AND THE MUMMY'S BRAIN


ALW: What are you reading, watching, or playing right now? 

KMG: Just picked up the third book in Rice’s Mummy series, mostly read historical fiction and espionage stories.
